Two more services are making their place in google chromecast, which are ITV Hub and 9NOW. The ITV Can announced that ITV Hub, the digital destinations for all its Tv channels and online services will now be available on Google Chromecast. Viewers will now be able to watch their favorite ITV content whether coronation Street, I’m A Celebrity, The X-factor, and many more from their phone, tablet, or laptop straight to their TV simply by plugging in the Chromecast device to the HDMI port of the TV.
The hub which was launched previous year replacing the previous ITV player, has gone from strength to strength and now has more than 17 million registered users, with half of all 16-24-year-old in the UK registered on the service including Chromecast. The ITV hub is now available on 30 different platforms.
ITVs Group Director Paul Kanareck said that, the ITV hub makes viewing all of the ITV content from the channels as easy as possible as well as watching Hub exclusives or catching up the great ITV shows. Launching the Hub on Chromecast means there are even more ways for viewers to access the hub and the company has some more exciting developments to share soon.
Chromecast partnerships Head, Edward Kenney said that with Google Chromecast, viewers can stream everything they love from the ITV Hub to the TV screen, directly from their phone or tablet. The company has seen a tremendous growth in Chromecast usage in UK and users will be delighted at the addition of the ITV Hub at the platform.
Another service that has made its place in Chromecast is 9Now. 9Now today announced that it has become the first Australian commercial free to air network to make its live streaming and on demand service, 9Now, available on Google’s media streaming service Chromecast. (Now enables all the Australians to live stream and catch up on all their favorite programs via the web, iOS, Android, HBB TV, Apple TV, Telstra TV, and now Chromecast.
Niamh Collins, general manager of product and digital operations at Nine, said that the move would help expand the digital reach of Nine Now, beyond its existing subscriber base 0f 1.9 million Australians, by tapping them into the user base of Chromecast products of Google. He further said that 9Now has 1.9 million subscribers but the company is excited that the chromecast will extend the footprint of the company.

As the part of the launch, Nine selected Brightcove as its technology partner. With the Brightcove Once product able to integrate content and ads seamlessly into the video stream to deliver a superior playback experience along with minimizing the buffering or disruption.
