Have you heard the latest news released by Disney? If not, then we want to tell you that Disney+ has been officially launched and this streaming is accumulating a lot of attention from the users. Whether it is new star wars, The Simpsons old episodes or The ‘Mandalorian’, you can watch a sufficient amount on content on Disney+. The best and the amazing part is; all these content can be streamed on the TV screen with the help of a Chromecast media streaming player.
You can watch Disney+ even on Chromebooks but with some twists. With Disney+, you can watch a number of movies or TV shows on a big screen just from the living room sofa or upholstered furniture. If you have connected the Chromecast to the TV, you can play/pause and stop the content from the TV remote itself. As far as voice actions are concerned, Google’s assistant is not supported by Disney+ as of now but is going to integrate in the near future as the company has already done for Netflix and HBO Now.
If you are wanting to cast the Disney+ content from the smartphone, then search for the Chromecast button from the top of the app. The officials in the press conference said that the Disney+ app has a Chromecast button available both on android and iPhone apps. So, the users can click on the button if any nearby Chromecast device is available on the same wireless network. Sometimes, you will not find the Chromecast icon on the home page, so there is nothing to worry about. Just go to the landing page and search for the ‘Chromecast button’ there. Though the Android app is also available on the Chromebook, but there are some twitches that you need to know before following this route.
Apart from this, you can cast the Disney+ content from the web player as well and enjoy the perfect content on laptops and Chromebooks. To start casting the content, select the movie or TV show you want to play through the laptop browser and search for the ‘Cast’ icon on the top right corner. When you click on it, the video along with the subtitle will start playing on the TV screen. When you use the web player for playing the content, you will not find the Chromecast icon on the home or landing pages but will appear directly on the video player.
So, you can take advantage of getting Disney+ with Chromecast on day one. Through both app and web experience, the casting of content on the TV screen is simple and works exactly in the order you expected. The only thing that needs improvement is the sorting of Disney content like National Geographic, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel movies.
