The ability to stream a video from a smartphone to the TV screen is something that we all want to do. However, this is one of those procedures for which, you need a flagship smartphone and a flagship TV set. The feature to stream videos or any other content from the phone to TV is only possible if you are using a high-end phone and TV.
If you think that there is no other way of streaming content from the phone to TV, then you are not fully aware of the new technology. If you are using Samsung smartphone (not Galaxy S Series or Note phones), but medium range phones and a normal LED TV with normal features such as HDMI, USB Ports and other features (not Wi-Fi), even then you can stream videos and other content from your phone onto the TV.
This can be done by connecting Google Chromecast into the HDMI port of the TV. Google Chromecast will act as a medium between your smartphone and TV, thus allowing you to transfer media from phone to TV seamlessly.
Feature Smart View connects the phone in seconds to a TV connected to the same Wi-Fi network
Phones running Android 5 Lollipop or newer versions can mirror the contents of the screen on a TV with Chromecast. The connection procedure, however, may vary depending on the appliance manufacturer. In Samsung models such as Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S8 and S8 Plus, the transmission of an image from the display to the large screen is available through the Smart View function.
The feature allows you to view the smartphone image on TVs of any make and model, provided Chromecast is connected to the HDMI input. Mirroring does not work on Apple TV because AirPlay is not supported. On the other hand, on televisions manufactured by Samsung, the connection of the Galaxy cell phone is direct and dispenses the Google dongle.
Step 1. Access the notification bar by dragging the top of the display to the bottom. Locate the “Smart View” function and touch it. If Smart View is not among the available options, here’s how to enable it.
Step 2. If your Chromecast is connected and configured on the same Wi-Fi network, the Samsung mobile device identifies the presence of the device and connects automatically.
Step 3. Use the floating button on the screen to access transmission options, such as pausing or pausing (disconnecting) the transmission.
Step 4. On the “Change Device” button, open the Smart View check again to search for other compatible transmitters. This is useful if your phone has connected to the wrong Chromecast on the first attempt.
Step 5. Finally, tap the gear to access screen ratio options. The function is available on phones with the longer display, such as the Galaxy S8, S8 Plus and Note 8. In the menu, it is possible to select between the 18.5: 9 format and the most common, 16: 9 format.
If you are not being able to stream content from smartphone to TV, then you need to get in touch with Chromecast Helpline. They will be able to assist you in the most appropriate way.
